Jackson has experience in undergraduate instruction and mentorship across multiple institutions. As a graduate student instructor at Indiana University Bloomington, she taught SOC 230: Society and the Individual under the supervision of Stephen Benard during the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters. She worked with approximately 79 students per semester, facilitating weekly discussions on sociological social psychology, and evaluating student work, including essays and weekly assessments.

Jackson has mentored numerous undergraduate researchers through several programs, including the Honors Thesis program at Indiana University, and the Sociology Opportunities for Undergraduate Leaders (SOUL) and Applied Social Policy Internship and Research Experience (ASPIRE) programs at the University of Michigan. She has also served as a graduate affiliate with the Carceral State Project at the University of Michigan, where she provided research mentorship to undergraduate students.
